Shipping Policy for Jimmy Goldfish

At Jimmy Goldfish, the health and well-being of our goldfish is our top priority. Each goldfish undergoes a thorough quarantine process in our facility, and we recommend continuing this process once you receive them.

Our goldfish are fasted for 3 days before shipping to ensure safe travel. Deliveries are conducted through UPS Next Day Air or FedEx Overnight services.

Carriers no longer guarantee this, and delivery may extend until the end of the day.

Shipping Charges/Cost:

Shipping costs vary based on your location and the number of live fish in your order, and these will be calculated at checkout:

  • Free Shipping:
    • Free Shipping is for each order subtotal above $500 of live fish only. The subtotal should be after any discount applied.
    • Combining multiple orders would be disqualified for Free Shipping.
    • When Free Shipping is not combinable with the First Order 12% discount.
  • UPS Next Day Air or FedEx Overnight starts at $45. These are currently the top 2 reliable, fastest shipping option for to-door delivery within the United States.
  • FedEx International Priority will be used for Canada Shipping.
  • For special request of using FedEx, we will have to collect extra $15 for shipping fee.

Note: These charges are applicable only to goldfish, not fish food. Live goldfish will always be shipped separately, not combinable with other non-live-stock in a package. When ordering Live Fish and Dry Goods, they will be split shipping in different packages/tracking.

Canada Shipping:

Shipping to Canada generally takes 1-2 days, even with our mandatory Overnight service. Delivery times may vary based on clearance from the Canadian Border Agency. Rest assured, our expert packaging ensures the fish remain safe and comfortable in the bag for over two days. We've got it covered!

  • FedEx International Priority.
  • e-sign is required, document (easy process): IMPORTER'S DECLARATION OF OWNERSHIP FOR PET AQUATIC ANIMALS.
  • Send a copy (front photo) of your ID to jimmygoldfish@yahoo.com
  • Shipping cost you pay at checkout does not include Canada's GST/PST tax, custom clearance fee. Those will be collected as a follow-up invoice.

Shipping to Hawaii

For our Hawaiian customers, it's essential to obtain import permits from any Hawaii Department of Agriculture Plant Quarantine Branch Office and email them to jimmygoldfish@yahoo.com. We cannot make exceptions to this requirement. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Adding to Existing Orders

If you have an order that has not yet been fulfilled (not shipped), you may place an additional order to be combined into the same shipment. Please complete checkout for the new order as normal, including the full shipping cost at checkout. Once all orders are prepared to ship together, we will evaluate the actual shipping cost for the combined package.

  • If the total shipping cost is less than the combined amount paid, we will issue a partial refund for the difference.

  • Please note that adding more fish increases the weight and may require a larger shipping box, which can add to the shipping cost.

  • In most cases, when full shipping is paid again for an additional order, there is typically an extra amount left over, and a partial refund will be issued accordingly.

  • Orders can only be combined if the original order has not already been shipped. Once an order is shipped, no additional items can be added.

  • There is a 24-hour cut-off period for adding to existing orders. If it is too close to the scheduled shipping day, please contact us first to confirm before placing an additional order to ensure the shipment has not already been sent out.

This approach ensures your fish are shipped safely while keeping shipping costs as fair as possible.

Selecting a Specific Delivery Date:

  1. With Next Day Air, you can select a specific delivery date.
  2. For 2-day shipping (if available), shipping begins on Monday, so the earliest delivery is on Wednesday. When using 2-day shipping, specific delivery date selection is not applicable.
  3. You can choose a delivery date between the 2 upcoming shipping's departure days (Mondays). We do not allow holding fish at our facility for more than 2 shipping's departure days. If a fish order is cancelled during the holding period, a cancellation fee will be incurred. Please refer to our cancellation policy for further details.

Shipping occurs weekly on Monday, excluding holidays. Please ensure that someone is available to move your delivery indoors promptly upon arrival.

We currently ship from Nebraska, USA to all locations within the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, with door-to-door delivery for your convenience. Shipping to Canada will be available soon.

Lost or Delivered but Not Received Packages:

If your package is marked as delivered but you have not received it, please contact the shipping carrier’s customer support or your local carrier manager within 1-2 days. They are best equipped to locate your package since they know your area. 

Jimmy Goldfish cannot be held responsible for packages once delivery is confirmed. However, we understand this is a frustrating situation for both parties. While we are not directly involved in locating packages, please inform us, and we will consider a fair solution to share the loss.

Incidents like this are rare, especially with premium services like UPS Next Day Air or FedEx Overnight, which offer extra reliability.
