Picture this: I’m at the airport, all set for a long flight from the US to Thailand. The goal? To handpick the most beautiful, healthiest goldfish just for you. The airport was buzzing with activity, but my mind was only on one thing—those gorgeous goldfish waiting for me across the ocean. As I settled into my seat, I couldn’t help but smile, knowing this journey would be worth every mile.

The Exciting Selection Process
Now for the best part—choosing the goldfish! Walking through rows of crystal-clear tanks, I was in goldfish heaven. Each tank was filled with top notch quality goldfish that were so vibrant and chonky! I took my time, inspecting each one for health, color, and personality. I wanted to make sure that every goldfish I bring back is not just beautiful but also healthy and full of life. I snapped photos and videos to share with you, capturing the magic of this process. It’s important to me that you see the care and effort that goes into selecting each goldfish. Take a look below!
(I had a chance to visit the big Lionchu & the jumbo Yuanbao farms and handpick each of the top quality goldfish. There are also a lot of small premium goldfishes which I liked a lot and am trying my best to bring them to the US!)
Update: Meet my good friend Chris
It was really nice to have a reunion with Chris, since he is the admin of the Fancy Goldfish Fanatics group on Facebook, we share a lot of experience and hobby together as goldfish enthusiast! We had a chance to visit a lot of goldfish farms, had meals together and go on through a lot of aquatic adventure!
A visit to the Super Yuanbao farm!
Can you even imagine how big these fish were? They were super super chonky and I stood in awe when I saw a lot of premium "monsters" dancing in the water like this! These Yuanbaos are definitely worth an AAA Grade or even a Show Grade when they've grown to a full mature body like this! Marvelous!
And there is a very BIG BIG news! I joined the Pet Paradise Contest and luckily 10 out of my 16 goldfish had won the prizes! That was the biggest event of this Thailand trip, if you want to know how interesting the show was, please read my next blog here!
